Web portal: menu
Build categories and items, set prices and availability, and keep POS and QR in sync.
Build categories and items
Your portal menu is the source of truth for Foodpos and online ordering. Guests and cashiers see the same catalog once items are published and available.
- Create categories that match how you sell (for example Mains, Drinks, Sides).
- Add items with name, price, description, and images where helpful.
- Configure modifiers (sizes, extras, removals) the kitchen can honor.
- Save and publish so POS and QR menus can pick up the change.
Availability
- Mark an item unavailable when you are temporarily out — prefer that over deleting the item.
- Restore availability when stock returns so the item reappears on POS and QR.
- If Foodpos still shows an old price, refresh or re-sync after publishing in the portal.
What to expect
Deleting an item that has sales history can break reporting clarity — prefer unavailable or archived states when your portal offers them.
For stock that drives availability automatically, see the inventory guide.
