Our promise to the Foodma community
Foodma collects only the data required to run a reliable marketplace, and we explain every use clearly. This policy covers everyone who interacts with Foodma products: customers ordering meals, vendors listing kitchens, and delivery riders completing trips.

What we collect and why
We collect personal data directly from you, through device permissions, and from secure third-party partners. Each category below helps us operate specific features.
a. Personal information
Full name, phone number, email address, and optional profile image so we can identify you on the platform.
b. Location data
Precise or approximate location from your device to show nearby vendors, track deliveries, and match riders.
c. Account information
Your selected role (customer, vendor, or rider), verification documents, business details, and account preferences.
c. Payment related information
Transaction references, payout history, and billing status. Card or bank details are handled directly by Paystack/Flutterwave and never stored by Foodma.
3. Data Sharing
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate Foodma, comply with legal obligations, or complete transactions on your behalf.
4. User Rights
Your control over your data
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may also withdraw consent for optional data processing through the app settings or by contacting our support team.
5. Children's Privacy
Our policy on minors
Foodma is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of the page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or in-app notification.

We collect information you provide directly, data generated as you use Foodma, and information from third-party services where you have granted permission for such sharing.

How we protect your information
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest within our databases.
- Role-based access control so only trained Foodma staff can view sensitive data.
- Secure cloud infrastructure hosted in reputable regional data centers with continuous monitoring and backup routines.
While we implement strong safeguards, no digital service is completely risk-free. Please keep your passwords private and enable device-level security such as biometrics or screen locks.
9. Account Deletion
How to remove your account
You can request account deletion at any time from the app settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Foodma may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.
